I would like to thank the old readers who have supported me all the way, especially "自轻舟去", "su2u4" and other big guys for their support all the way, from supporting old books to new books, although this new book can also be regarded as an old book, it is as good as new.
Okay, I won’t say much more, let me explain some issues here.
First: Why doesn’t the protagonist have magic powers?
From the author's perspective, the setting of no magic is to suppress the strength of the protagonist, otherwise the protagonist is too powerful, and the plot will be almost smooth. And if everything goes smoothly, how can Sakura grow? How can she improve her relationship with Syaoran? Take the plot of the card removal in the animation series for example. If the protagonist can easily solve it, Sakura will not get any training, nor will she get the opportunity to improve her relationship with Syaoran. The card removal incident is also the beginning of the disappearance of the gap between Sakura and Syaoran. So the protagonist is set to have no magic, and I don't have the writing skills to write a wonderful plot where the protagonist is invincible and there are no logical errors.
From Xia Yu's perspective, he himself didn't really want to exchange for the magic power of Sakura's world, because he knew the general plot context. So his mentality was to mix the plot, and if he could get the Clow Cards, he would be successful, and if he couldn't, let Sakura solve it herself. From the beginning, Xia Yu made his attitude clear. No matter how the process was, the final result would definitely be that inevitable. As long as he borrowed the full set of Clow Cards for analysis after Sakura became the real owner of the Clow Cards, Sakura would definitely not refuse. So for the capture of the Clow Cards, he adhered to the attitude of participation and waiting and watching. Besides, exchanging magic power also required a good amount of sunshine points, and he was reluctant to give it up.
Second: Why are the wizards in Harry Potter set to have no magic?
In order to make the protagonist have no magic power but still be able to use magic, I thought about it and it seemed that Harry Potter would be the right choice. Moreover, the magic in Harry Potter is quite versatile, with a very high upper and lower limit, so I set it like this. Besides, isn't it more powerful to be able to use magic without magic power than to need magic power to use magic?
……
Finally, I want to emphasize again that the tone of this book is a relaxed, everyday, and joyful one. The protagonist does not stir up trouble, is not invincible, does not break up the couple, and does not do meaningless things for fun. If you really want me to write according to your wishes, at least give me a big reward like the 1-meter-tall girl, otherwise why should I follow your wishes? Instead of following the wishes of those who are willing to give me rewards.
……
Okay, now that the main topic is over, let me tell you about a little question that came to my mind.
What do you think, when Zhishi and Xia Yu are together, who is the old cow and who is the young grass?
Cardcaptor Sakura was serialized in 1996 and the animation was broadcast in 1998. Taking the animation time as an example, Tomoyo was already ten years old in 98, but Xia Yu was not born yet...
Xia Yu was born in 00, so when Zhishi was twelve years old, Xia Yu was just born, so Zhishi is 00 years older than Xia Yu.
But Xia Yu was already in his twenties when he traveled through time. After traveling to Sakura's world, he changed back to his appearance when he was seven years old. When he grew to look like a ten-year-old, he should have been about twenty-six or twenty-seven years old. So he was almost a dozen years older than Tomoyo.
So this leads to a question: is Zhishi older than Xia Yu? Or is Xia Yu older than Zhishi?
If we subtract the dozen years that Xia Yu is older than Tomoyo from the twelve years that Tomoyo is older than Xia Yu, then Xia Yu is only about four or five years older than Tomoyo. If we subtract the time he spent in Sakura's world after crossing over, he is only one or two years older than Tomoyo. So, Xia Yu and Tomoyo are actually the same age?
