Chapter 292 291. Buddhist Three Body Methods (Please subscribe!)
Xu Qing and Feng Lingchen rushed to the palace.
But even with four guardian gods, the journey is not easy.
Green flames spread across half of the Imperial Capital City, and there was no temple supported by the four guardian gods.
These flames will invade the human body through the pores and burn from within.
Xu Qingyou also figured out why the people who had ingested the corpse oil did not show any abnormalities.
Because the corpse oil itself is just a medium, it can only work in the presence of green fire.
Just as, lamp oil can only show its effect when it is ignited by fire.
Through the golden eyes, Xu Qing understood that these people were nothing more than a kind of strange "incense and candles".
Or “human candle”!
Burning themselves to offer to Buddha, the evil power of incense and wishes continuously flows to the ghosts behind the oil seller.
Xu Qing believed in Tianpeng's strength and that the ghost could not kill him.
While dealing with Tianpeng, he was also able to devote power close to the sixth realm, all thanks to the incense and vows offered by these "human candles".
However, these "human candles" are not completely dead.
Their death is when the "candle" burns out.
In other words.
At present, these people have not died completely.
This resulted in Xu Qing being unable to truly kill these people.
With our hands tied, progress is not ideal.
Just when Xu Qing was struggling over whether to attack those human candles, suddenly layers of golden light came like a tide, forcing back the green flames that spread across half of the Imperial Capital City.
"Is this Buddha's light?"
Has some powerful Buddhist master taken action?
Xu Qing's eyes lit up.
This is an opportunity!
Under the shining of infinite Buddha's light, the green flames were forced back, and the sky and earth gradually turned golden.
As soon as the oil sellers touched the Buddha's light, a layer of golden Buddha's fire suddenly burned on their bodies, and in a flash not even a bone was left.
As for those human candles, infinite Buddha light seeped in through their pores, constantly expelling the burning green fire in their bodies, allowing them to return to normal.
Xu Qing knew that this was a rare opportunity and he didn't know when the green flames would counterattack, so he had to take this opportunity to rush into the palace.
The four guardian gods lead the way.
Xu Qing and Feng Lingchen rushed to the palace as quickly as possible.
But don't want to.
Halfway through the journey, he unexpectedly met Li Pingan, Qin Hongsheng and Bai Lele.
"Big brother!"
Bai Lele stood on a "long dragon" formed by a bunch of insects, and shouted loudly when he saw the figures of the four guardian gods.
Xu Qing also noticed Bai Lele and the others.
Although I was wondering why they gathered together, I didn't have time to ask more questions at this time.
"Work together to clear a path to the palace!" Xu Qing shouted.
While running forward without stopping, he added: "There is a glimmer of hope for us to survive this incident. To resolve this matter, we must go to the palace!"
"understand!"
Bai Lele and Li Pingan have never questioned Xu Qing's decisions.
Only Qin Hongsheng looked hesitant.
Xu Qing knew that what he was struggling with now was the same as Feng Lingchen's just now.
He learned literary and martial arts and sold them to the imperial family.
Although the Emperor Ming who sits on the throne today is not well-known among the people, he is recognized as a wise ruler in the court.
Therefore, the Arctic Exorcism Institute has always been loyal to Emperor Ming.
If given the chance, Qin Hongsheng would probably ask Emperor Ming a question, "Why did Your Majesty rebel?"
However, Xu Qing did not care much about Qin Hongsheng's thoughts.
It was impossible for him to guide them one by one, so he just gave orders in the capacity of "Inspector" and asked Qin Hongsheng and other demon-hunting envoys to follow his orders.
Xu Qing took the lead, and the other four followed behind him.
On the way, he met many demon-hunting envoys who were heading to the palace in accordance with the order he had just given.
So the team grew little by little.
Ahead, the palace is already in sight!
The Imperial Palace, in the Huangji Hall.
Dark as the abyss.
One is an emperor, the other is a monk. One is sitting high up, the other is standing quietly with his head bowed. A certain aura flows between the two.
"Your Majesty is indeed rich." The old monk met the eyes of the Emperor Ming, whose corpse was sitting on the dragon throne, and said in a deep voice: "But not all the world belongs to your Majesty!"
"Especially the lives of the people of this world, they shouldn't be treated like this!"
Emperor Ming responded: "It is said that the emperor is the shepherd of the people on behalf of the emperor, and the people are like animals. Since they are animals, why can't I decide their life and death?"
The old monk stared at him, "I don't understand. When Your Majesty ascended the throne, you were wise and dignified, and you were clear about rewards and punishments. Everyone in the court praised you. Why did you become like this today?"
"Why?" Emperor Ming was somewhat amused, and patted the dragon throne beneath him, "Because power is poisonous, and because the people are ignorant!"
The old monk sighed.
It seems that words alone are not enough to persuade His Majesty to change his ways.
Even though the rain is heavy, it cannot moisten the grass without roots; even though the Dharma is broad, it cannot save those who have no affinity with it.
"Amitabha!"
The old monk chanted a Buddhist name: "For the sake of the world, I must stop your Majesty's absurd behavior today."
Emperor Ming narrowed his eyes slightly, with a hint of chill in his eyes: "Aren't you afraid that the lineage of the White Dragon Temple will be cut off today? All the monks in the temple will be exterminated because of your willful behavior today."
“Bailong Temple wants to save the world. If they don’t even have this determination, then they shouldn’t have established a temple to preach the Dharma.” There was not a ripple in the old monk’s eyes.
"What a wish to save the world." Emperor Ming laughed out loud, "I wonder if all the disciples of Bailong Temple share the same idea as Master Mingyuan?"
"I wonder if the White Dragon Temple will blame you, the founder, if its lineage is cut off and the disciples are displaced and everyone wants to kill them?"
"Your Majesty, there is no need to say more." The old monk shook his head, "All things are impermanent, they are the law of birth and death. When birth and death are extinguished, nirvana is happiness!"
These four sentences are called "Snow Mountain Gatha".
Legend has it that when the Buddha was practicing in the snow mountains, he accidentally heard the teachings of a Rakshasa.
However, the Rakshasa only spoke half of the verse, and the second half could only be known by the Buddha by offering his life.
Finally, the Buddha risked his life to obtain the second half of the verse.
Therefore, this verse is also known as "Throwing oneself into the snowy ridge" or "Killing oneself with half a verse".
It reveals the impermanent nature of all things, and points out the goal of liberation: to end birth and death and attain nirvana.
The old monk recited this verse at this time simply to tell Emperor Ming how firm his determination was!
Emperor Ming leaned forward slightly and said, "Master Mingyuan, are you determined to kill me?"
“A Bodhisattva with lowered eyebrows is a Buddha, and a Vajra with angry eyes is also a Buddha. Everything is for compassion for all living beings.” The old monk was unmoved.
"Master Mingyuan is indeed a great and holy monk!" Emperor Ming smiled again, but there was a strong chill in his laughter.
"What a pity! In this world, good people always suffer misfortunes, while evil people enjoy good fortunes."
"A good man who makes one mistake will go to hell forever, but an evil man who achieves success and fame will be admired by the world."
The old monk said no more, raised the staff in his right hand and touched the ground again.
when!
The crisp sound echoed in the hall, as if it had some kind of power, shaking the entire hall.
The eunuch in charge of the seal outside the hall had a deep look in his eyes. He shook his head and ignored the abnormality in the hall. Instead, he turned around and looked outside the palace.
There, a group of demon-hunting agents from the Arctic Exorcist's House were rushing over there in a menacing manner.
"It's just as the rumors say. The North Pole Exorcism Institute is only loyal to Dasheng. If the king is virtuous, they will respect him. If the king is unvirtuous, they will attack him."
"No wonder His Majesty can't tolerate you." "What a pity, His Majesty has been planning for many years. Even if you are the best in the world, don't try to stop His Majesty's steps."
"Not to mention you, the demon hunters!"
"Humph!"
In the Huangji Palace, Emperor Ming snorted coldly, and the shaking palace suddenly calmed down.
"Mahavairocana, how does he compare to the Dragon of National Destiny?"
Finished speaking.
A huge dragon head suddenly emerged from the deep darkness under the dragon throne, with a pair of golden eyes as big as lanterns shining brightly.
It lit up half of the hall in an instant.
"go with!"
Emperor Ming gave an order.
This five-clawed real dragon, condensed by the national destiny, suddenly emerged from the deep darkness. Its head was ferocious, its body was winding, and its scales seemed to be made of gold.
A five-clawed dragon coiled above the hall with the old monk as its center.
next moment.
The dragon's mouth opened angrily, its fangs stood erect, and it suddenly pounced towards the old monk to bite.
The old monk's expression remained unchanged. He turned his palm over, and a Dharma bowl was placed in his palm. He then chanted softly:
"The Buddha looked at a bowl of water and saw eighty-four thousand insects."
He threw his palm forward, and the Dharma bowl spun in the air, with the mouth of the bowl facing the attacking five-clawed real dragon.
A huge suction force came from the mouth of the bowl, and a huge five-clawed real dragon was sucked into the bowl.
Emperor Ming didn't care.
If a small Dharma bowl can trap the true dragon of national destiny, then wouldn't it be better to let these monks sit on the throne?
After absorbing the true dragon of national destiny, the Dharma bowl flew out of the old monk's palm.
But the Dharma bowl was obviously shaking constantly.
It seemed as if the true dragon of national destiny in the bowl was violently hitting the bowl body, trying to escape.
The old monk moved his lips and chanted softly: "I vow to save countless sentient beings, I vow to eliminate endless troubles, I vow to learn countless Dharmas, and I vow to achieve the supreme Buddhahood."
These are the Four Great Vows of Buddhism, which are the vows that all Bodhisattvas should make, and are also the vows that Buddhist disciples who practice Mahayana Buddhism must recite.
The Four Great Vows, recited by the old monk, blessed his practice and were as powerful as any supreme secret method.
As the old monk recited the Four Great Vows, golden Buddhist scriptures appeared in the air and then flew into the bowl.
Wow.
The Buddhist scriptures that flew into the bowl tangled into chains that imprisoned the rampaging dragon of national destiny.
Emperor Ming, sitting on the dragon throne, lowered his head and said in a gloomy tone, "Using a lifetime of practice to evolve Buddhist texts, and then condense the chains?"
The old monk did not stop reciting the oath, but just raised his eyes, and the meaning in his eyes was very clear -
Even if you leave your life and cultivation here today, I will not stop Your Majesty.
Emperor Ming understood the meaning of the old monk's eyes, his anger rose, and the fate of the country was shaken.
next moment.
A long sword suddenly broke through a palace in the imperial palace and flew out, turning into a streak of light that swept through the air.
then.
It was like a falling fire, falling from the sky above the Huangji Palace and heading straight towards the old monk.
The old monk stood still, with the staff raised in his right hand.
There was only a crisp sound, and the staff and the sword collided with each other, bursting out layer upon layer of substantial ripples.
"Zhen Guo Jian" the old monk murmured.
Before the old monk could make any further move, a cloth umbrella decorated with countless small silk strips, each with a name written on it, began to spin above the Huangji Palace.
The bright light poured down from the umbrella, transforming the area covered by the umbrella into another space.
At the same time, the will of the people is overwhelming.
The old monk "Wanmin Umbrella"'s eyes moved slightly.
The Umbrella of Ten Thousand People is a treasure formed by the gratitude of countless people for the great contribution of Emperor Taizu of Da Sheng in saving the world. It symbolizes "the will of the people."
But the current situation is really ridiculous.
If an emperor wants to use the lives of the people of the entire imperial city to achieve a certain goal, then what is the "will of the people"?
The old monk was moved by the scene and his mind was filled with thoughts.
But after the Sword of the Nation and the Umbrella of the People, many other treasures appeared in the hall and joined forces to suppress the old monk.
The old monk whispered the names of these national treasures:
"River and Mountain Painting, Bronze Tripod, Sun and Moon Plaque, Bai Ze Flag"
The old monk feels pressured when various national treasures appear in the world.
The old monk was doing two things at once, reciting the Four Great Vows to suppress the dragon of national destiny in the bowl, and visualizing the Buddhas at the same time.
The Buddhist rhythm that flows through the heavens descended here, and from this evolved into Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, and Vajras.
The rolling Buddhist music flooded through the Huangji Palace, counteracting the wishes of the people emanating from the Wanmin Umbrella.
The Buddha and Bodhisattva visualized by the old monk faced the national treasures one by one.
"Master Mingyuan, why are you so stubborn?"
"With these national treasures, I can suppress you by force. If I use the dragon energy of the emperor, your final outcome will be death."
Emperor Ming jokingly said in the tone of Buddhist persuasion: "Master Mingyuan, put down your butcher knife and become a Buddha right now."
The old monk's gaze remained unchanged.
There was no anger in his heart, but a golden Buddha fire suddenly surged out from between his eyebrows and instantly flowed through his body.
As the Buddha's fire passed by, the old monk gradually became thinner, but his aura became infinitely higher.
"Nirvana?" Emperor Ming pinched his brows, "It seems that you are really determined to stop me today, risking your life."
"Forget it. Just hold on. Aren't you curious about what I want to do? Just watch from here."
After saying this, a bright yellow aura emanated from Emperor Ming's body, which echoed the true dragon of national destiny in the old monk's Dharma bowl.
at the same time.
There were three great auras rising in the imperial capital.
“It’s really spectacular”
In a house in the Imperial Capital, two mysterious men wearing masks looked at the three rising giant clouds from afar.
The man wearing the Qilin mask exclaimed.
Behind the Qilin and Taotie, a mist was rolling, and a voice came from the mist:
"How did you know that Emperor Ming was practicing the Buddhist 'Three Body Method'?"
"Guessed." Qilin smiled slightly.
The being behind the mist did not expect such an answer and fell into silence.
"Are you sure you want to take action this time?" Qilin broke the silence. "Yuan Fu Temple is at its weakest right now. It would be better if you could cause trouble for them."
"Yuanfu Temple destroyed our legal system, so we will certainly look for them. However, compared to Yuanfu Temple, we want to sever Dasheng's national destiny more." A voice came from the fog.
"My chance really belongs to Emperor Ming?" Taotie interrupted, with a puzzled tone, "This is a formation formed by combining the Buddhist Three Body Methods, the Taoist Tai Chi Diagram, and Confucianism, with the true meaning of the three religions, and the Imperial Capital City, the center of the dragon vein, as the center of the formation. How can we snatch food from the tiger's mouth?"
"This is much more difficult than the last time you assisted Lord Hongzehu in crossing the river and slaying the dragon."
"So we need some additional help. Didn't you steal something from Baishui Village in Southern Xinjiang last time?"
"That thing can help you at this critical moment."
"in addition."
Qilin looked at Xu Qing who was moving among the zombies: "We still need his help."
