Chapter 24: Stay in a hotel and start a new life
When her mother came home from get off work and saw the living room, they continued arguing.
Ye Nai watched coldly, thinking that the result of her grandparents coming to live would not change. If her mother was really angry, she could just kick her father out of the house. Just arguing without fighting would be fake no matter how fierce the argument was.
And even though they quarreled, it didn't affect their appetite for dinner at all.
Late at night, when the whole family was fast asleep, Ye Nai, who was sleeping in the kitchen, got up silently, put the things she had bought for the family during the day in their place, then opened the box under the dining table where she had put her clothes, books, and sundries, put everything inside into the space, and then went back to sleep.
Ye Na was woken up by the alarm clock early in the morning, a little earlier than usual. She quickly made the bed, brushed her teeth and washed her face, then put the toothbrush and towel away, made breakfast, collected the clothes that had dried on the balcony, checked carefully to make sure there were no belongings in the house, put on her shoes, put the house key on the shoe rack, and left.
Parents and younger siblings got up at their usual time. At first, no one cared when they didn't see their eldest daughter, as they thought she had gone to the morning market to buy groceries. Yu Qing ate breakfast and went to work, and saw the key on the shoe rack, thinking Ye Na hadn't brought it with her.
The father and his four sons who stayed at home had steamed buns for lunch. When his wife came home in the evening and searched the whole house but couldn't find any daily necessities left by their eldest daughter, the family realized that Ye Nai had left home and taken all her things with her.
In the morning, Ye Na made breakfast and left. At this time, breakfast stalls were setting up on the street one after another. She bought and ate as she went along. If she found something delicious, she would buy two more and put them in her space.
I walked and ate all the way, and slowly arrived at the gate of the only technical college in the city. The time was just right, so I paid the fee and signed up for an introductory computer course. The two-week course was only half a day, but if I took the full day course, it would only take a week.
Ye Nai of course last week.
I paid the fee and started the class. In a computer room with several rows of desktop computers, I spent the morning learning what a computer is, how the disks in a computer are partitioned, how to rename disks, how to choose an input method, and how to access typing software if I don't know how to type.
After class, she stayed in a hotel near the college. Since she had slept in the living room since elementary school, she finally slept in a normal bed again.
So comfortable.
Look around and imagine what the rented house looks like.
She wanted to rent a small single room like this. The size of a standard hotel room was just right, with an independent bathroom. Even if it only had a squat toilet and no hot water, she would be allowed to use an induction cooker to boil water. The most important thing was that it should be a place that belonged to her alone, quiet, with no one else running around.
Sitting on the bed in the room, I first pulled out the SIM card from the student card machine and put it into the triple-proof dual-network mobile phone, and the small phone was then idle.
Then she opened her mobile phone to take online courses and looked up the process of how to transfer her household registration. It was very simple. She found the entrance to transfer her household registration, submitted an application first, took a photo of her household registration page and uploaded it to the system. After the review was passed, she could go to the police station to return the household registration page. Once she operated in the household registration system, she could see her collective household electronic file in her personal background.
Ye Nai immediately took a photo and uploaded it to apply for relocation, then ordered takeout for lunch, took a nap, and continued her classes in the afternoon.
After class in the afternoon, I had dinner on the street and started shopping online after returning to the hotel.
The computer class in the afternoon taught them how to shop online. Following the step-by-step instructions, Ye Nai applied for accounts on several mainstream online shopping platforms and installed the corresponding software on his mobile phone.
I didn't have time to study the products I was interested in during class, but now I didn't have any worries. Ye Na had money in her hands, so she spent the whole night shopping.
She will stay here for a week, just in time to receive a wave of express deliveries.
Just as she was about to start checking her phone, her mother called. At this point, her family had already searched the entire house and confirmed that Ye Na was gone.
"I just gave you the money the day before yesterday, and you left today?" "Yes, I left."
"where are you now?"
"in the hotel."
"Which hotel?"
"Let's take a look at the hotels in Danger Zone No. 2 first. If you can stay there, then stay there. If not, then keep looking." Ye Nai spoke nonsense in a serious manner.
"What do you mean? It's just moving garbage, there's nowhere you can't do it? Why are you so picky?"
"The old guys are banding together to form a gang, so of course I have to be careful. Why would I stay in a place where newcomers are not welcome? Am I born to be a jerk?"
Her mother fell silent for a moment, and when she spoke again she changed the subject.
"You didn't even tell your family that you were leaving, and they thought you were missing."
"You have opinions about everything I do. You gave me money and I left. What else are you dissatisfied with? Do you like to see me sleeping in the kitchen every day? Am I your biological child? Are you treating me like this? Are you happy if I jump off the building in front of you? If I really jump off the building, I will definitely push all of you down first, and no one will survive."
"Yena!" Her mother was frightened and yelled on the other end of the phone.
"I'm tired after a long day. If you have something to say, just say it. If not, just hang up."
"Okay, okay, be careful out there by yourself."
Her mother hung up the phone quickly, and before the line was disconnected, Ye Nai heard the faint sound of her parents arguing on the other end.
Yenneche returned to the online shopping page and continued to concentrate on shopping. She didn't care at all about how her parents quarreled, and even if their heads broke, it was none of her business.
She first bought a few large storage boxes, mainly to store bedding for all seasons. She had to prepare shelves for the 2000 cubic meters of space, and of course, the 10-meter height had to be utilized.
She decided to buy the shelves locally, but when she was browsing the shopping app, she saw some very sturdy water pipe clothes hangers. After visiting many stores, she compared prices and bought six of the largest sizes. Four of them are used to hang clothes for each season, spring, summer, autumn and winter, and the other two are used to hang work clothes. The clothes she wears when moving garbage are definitely not hung together with her everyday clothes.
She also wants to go to the furniture market and buy a few chests of drawers to store small clothes and sundries. When she rents a house in the future, she can just put out the clothes racks and chests, which will make moving easier.
The next morning, while she was in class, she received a message informing her that her household registration transfer application had been approved, reminding her to go to the police station in her registered place of residence within a week to complete the subsequent procedures.
Fortunately, the get out of class ended early, and Ye Nai took a taxi to the police station. She presented her household registration page, awakening badge, and personal background in her mobile phone to the household registration department. Within a few minutes, the follow-up procedures were completed. Her household registration page was stamped and taken back, and her household registration was moved to the collective household of the Awakener Center. She only had to wait for another review and acceptance there.
After completing this major task, Ye Nai felt more relaxed. For the past week, she stayed in the small hotel and did not go anywhere except for going to and from get out of class. She relied on takeout for food and drinks, and received a lot of express deliveries.
When the receptionist saw the boxes on the floor disappear with just a touch of her hand, she knew she was an awakened person and turned a blind eye to all her actions. Also, seeing her going to the college for classes every day, she guessed that she was here for short-term training and didn't want to cause trouble at all, so she had no intention of striking up a conversation or building a relationship with her.
