Chapter 6: How the "Three-No" Youth Make Money
Ye Nai didn't believe that her mother had no money.
Each of her four children earns 800 yuan per month, totaling 3,200 yuan a month. She is only responsible for things that can be bought at the vegetable market. She has been keeping accounts for many years. Based on current prices, the money spent by her every month is around 1,000 to 1,300 or 1,400 yuan. She spends more on buying rice, flour, oil, seasonings, and during the New Year and other festivals.
The remaining money is used by parents to pay for fixed expenses such as water, electricity, gas, daily necessities, and mortgage and property. Even if there is an overspending, it is just the parents' problem and it will not affect their salary at all.
If there was no savings at home, she would really be curious about where the money went.
Her mother Yu Qing let out a long breath and said nothing more. She stood up angrily and went to the master bedroom to get out one thousand yuan.
"Take it, take it. Giving birth to you is like giving birth to a debt collector."
"I can't help it. It's your fault for not calculating the auspicious day when you went to bed."
"Are you ashamed?!"
Her mother Yu Qing couldn't hold it anymore and angrily raised her hand to slap Ye Nai on the head.
Ye Nai dodged her mother's slap by nimbly moving sideways, then stood up and walked towards the balcony, picking up her steel bed.
"Mom, aren't you tired? If you don't go to bed, I'm going to sleep. I have to get up early tomorrow."
Her mother Yu Qing put her hands on her hips, muttered, "I won't be angry, I won't be angry until I die, no one will replace me," and turned back to her room.
Ye Na had a good sleep.
I get up early, make the beds, prepare breakfast, urge my younger brothers and sisters to get up and eat, and rush them to school.
Then her mother got up, had dinner, and went to the hospital to complete the discharge procedures, waiting for Ye Na to rush over to meet her.
Ye Nai washed the dishes before going out. It was already 8: at that time. She first went to the mobile phone store to buy a student card machine for yuan, which had a screen, physical keys and could access the Internet. Then she went to the telecommunications company to buy a mobile phone card. Finally, she went to the bank to open an account, bound the account to the payment software on her mobile phone to complete the real-name authentication, and then went to school to find her class teacher to fill out the form. She stopped studying and waited for the school to notify her to get her diploma.
There were a lot of people in the office, all of them were students who came to fill out forms. The three top students and three awakened ones in her class were the ones who had really decided to go on to higher education.
Fill in her name and the phone number she just bought as the contact information.
Then I filled out the registration form for the hazardous area garbage removal team.
After handing in the form, her high school career came to an end. Ye Na politely shook hands with her homeroom teacher and thanked her for her three years of teaching.
She declined her female classmate's invitation to go shopping and rushed to the hospital without further delay.
In the ward, her father's discharge procedures had been completed, his luggage had been packed, and he was sitting in a wheelchair. The beds were empty and ready for new patients to lie down at any time.
Ye Na called out to her parents, walked forward, picked up the packed luggage, and her mother pushed the wheelchair out of the hospital and walked home. If they took the bus, it would not be too difficult to push the wheelchair on and off the bus, but it depended on whether the carriage was empty, after all, the wheelchair took up quite a bit of space.
So, to avoid trouble, the mother and daughter decided to take turns pushing the wheelchair and walking back.
While walking on the road, the couple told Ye Na a piece of fresh gossip.
Yesterday afternoon, shortly after Ye Na left, before it got dark, a family member who was accompanying the patient in the ward suddenly developed an unknown infection and was sent to the infectious ward.
Her parents watched the whole process and even described the man's clothes and appearance clearly. Ye Na immediately recognized that it was the man who looked at her yesterday.
"Oh, it was so scary. The patient's face was covered with red spots and then the people in the ward saw it. They called a nurse. As soon as the nurse came, she screamed and forcibly pulled the patient out while calling for a doctor. The whole corridor could hear it. A family member followed to eavesdrop and came back to say that the patient was covered in red spots and peeling skin. He insisted that he was fine and was sent to the infectious ward soon after." "Tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk, the entire ward, from the patients to the family members, were required to do blood tests. Fortunately, no one was infected except that one person. Is it a single or sporadic case?"
"No wonder mom came back late last night. Did she wait for the blood test results to come out before releasing me?"
"Yeah, there's a lot of things to do when I get home." Her mother glared at Ye Nai in reproach.
"Although it's unlucky to be sick, it's also lucky that you got sick in the hospital and were discovered in time." Ye Na pretended not to see it and commented indifferently.
It turns out her spores can make people sick, that's pretty cool.
"That's true. It's always a good thing if the disease is discovered in time in the hospital."
After returning home, her father Ye Yu was able to maneuver the wheelchair in and out of the house fairly smoothly, except for going to the toilet, which was small and could not accommodate the wheelchair.
There is no way. Her father has both legs broken. Even if one leg is good, he can go to the toilet by himself with crutches. Now he can only continue to use adult diapers until the plaster is removed and he can use crutches.
While Ye Na was making lunch, the couple whispered in the master bedroom about whether to leave their eldest daughter at home to take care of their father.
"No, no, I have to go to the bathroom several times a day. If I let my daughter take care of me, it would be embarrassing for her, not just her." Her father Ye Yu objected repeatedly.
"What if you pee or poop?"
"I can do it myself." Ye Yu spread his hands. "My legs are just broken, not my hands. You see, I put on my pants by myself today and moved from the hospital bed to the wheelchair. Let my daughter find a job. I'll be fine at home alone."
"Well, okay, you stay home alone and be safe."
"Don't worry, I'm only in my early forties, I'm not that useless."
"Also, when I was leaving this morning, I ran into a neighbor on the same floor. He said that our Ye Na is so old now, do you want to arrange a blind date for her? He said that he had a good boy to introduce to her."
"Why are outsiders so enthusiastic? Do they mean it's good? Are they thinking of using our daughter as a favor? If someone is being too attentive for no reason, he is either a traitor or a thief. She is our eldest daughter, are you willing to marry her off without knowing the reason?"
"That can't be possible. I don't want her to go on blind dates. The three children below are all young. If she gets married early, won't it tire me to death?"
"That's all, don't listen to what others say."
The couple had an agreement, and when Ye Na called them out for dinner, the family of three talked about her at the dinner table.
"Our family is short of money now. You want to find a job, but what kind of job do you plan to look for?" Her father seemed very concerned.
“I have submitted the registration form at school to collect garbage from hazardous areas.”
"It's too dangerous there, and it's also dangerous with the school organization there." Her mother objected, "You're a young girl, it's best for you to find a job in the city."
"Garbage removal is for men and women, regardless of age or experience, and the wages are paid daily."
Ye Nai only said this one sentence. She knew too well how to chat with her parents. One of her parents was an electrician and the other was an accountant, and she was the family's cashier. It was better to use money and face as the guide than to talk about any profound principles, which would save time and effort.
The team formed by the school plays an organizing and protecting role, and they still get paid, it is not a simple experience like a spring outing.
She will not study or go to higher education, but as long as she does not get her diploma, she is still a student and the chances of being bullied by people in society are lower.
